Intuit QuickBooks Desktop 2023 Pricing and Sales Channel Changes

With the launch of QuickBooks Desktop 2023, Intuit has made changes to both pricing and product availability via sales channels for some QuickBooks Desktop products.

New QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus & Mac Plus 2023 license subscriptions will start at $549 (annual for one user license) and new QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus 2023 license subscriptions will start at $799 (annual for one user license). In addition, Intuit will not be offering any pricing discounts for new QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus or Mac Plus 2023 license subscriptions as they continue to push more small business customers towards QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Enterprise 23 license subscription pricing will remain the same at least for now with license subscriptions starting at $1,740 (annual for one user license, Gold subscription).

No information as to when existing QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Mac Plus and Premier Plus customers may see the price hikes but if you don’t see it in 2022, you’ll likely see it in 2023 on your next annual subscription renewal.

As for product availability via sales channels, new QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus & Mac Plus 2023 license subscriptions will only be available through Intuit Sales and QuickBooks Solutions Providers (QSPs). You will no longer be able to purchase new QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus & Mac Plus 2023 license subscriptions directly via the Intuit website. QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus 2023 and QuickBooks Enterprise 23 license subscriptions will be available through Intuit Web, Intuit Sales and QSPs.

If you’re a small business customer looking to upgrade an old QuickBooks Desktop Pro license or looking to go with QuickBooks but QuickBooks Online isn’t the right choice for your business and Premier Plus 2023 and Enterprise 23 are overkill, QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2023 is still available. However, you will need to reach out to either Intuit Sales or a QuickBooks Solutions Provider (QSP) to purchase a new license subscription.
