Intuit QuickBooks

Intuit QuickBooks is an extremely popular, easy to use and learn, flexible yet robust accounting and financial software solution for many businesses. Intuit QuickBooks software comes in a variety of versions including Desktop Pro, Desktop Premier and Enterprise versions. Intuit also offers several different versions of QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Online may not be as flexible or robust for some businesses vs QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise. We typically recommend QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise over Online but this varies based on your particular business and specific business needs. QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Premier can be installed locally and is intended for few users while QuickBooks Enterprise is ideal for client/server environments. All three can be purchased with hosting (the software will be hosted by Intuit’s hosting solutions partner, Right Networks) for an additional cost.

With QuickBooks hosting, you can access the QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise software and your accounting/financial data (your QuickBooks company files) from virtually anywhere. You don’t need to install the QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise software locally (just the Right Networks remote access software). Hosting is a good option to consider for business continuity. Server hardware and maintenance along with QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise software updates/upgrades and routine data backups will be primarily managed through the hosting provider.

For major QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise software upgrades (ex: new versions), you will still have control over when you deploy the major software upgrades through the Right Networks dashboard. And, you will still have direct access to your QuickBooks company files to perform manual backups.
