Intuit QuickBooks 2022

If you currently use Intuit QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise software to manage your business accounting and financial needs, you’re probably aware Intuit recently released the latest version of their QuickBooks Desktop and Enterprise software.

If you are planning to upgrade your current QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise software to the latest version, be sure to perform a manual backup of your native QuickBooks company files (including the images folder, if applicable). Don’t just perform or rely on the QuickBooks local or automated backups.

Newer versions of QuickBooks typically upgrade your existing company files to the latest version format. If something goes wrong during the upgrade and those company files are corrupted, you can revert to your backup to restore your native QuickBooks company files.

While QuickBooks should backup those native company files before the upgrade, it’s good practice to perform your own manual backup as an added precaution.

Having a backup copy of your native QuickBooks company files can be a huge lifesaver!

After upgrading to the latest version of QuickBooks, be sure to test the software and check your company file(s). Look over your accounting and financial data to be sure it is intact and consistent. Check line items like bank account balances, A/R, A/P and financial reports like your balance sheet and income statement (P&L) for accuracy.

If you have a current, active subscription to Intuit QuickBooks with Intuit and run your QuickBooks software locally or in a client/server environment, you should be notified by Intuit that you are eligible to upgrade to the new version and you should be able to download the new version and access your installation product key from your Intuit account dashboard.

If you have a current, active subscription to Intuit QuickBooks with Intuit and have QuickBooks with Hosting through Intuit’s hosting solution partner, Right Networks, you should be notified by Intuit that you are eligible to upgrade to the new version and should be provided with instructions on how to upgrade your version of QuickBooks through your Right Networks account dashboard. When upgrading through the Right Networks account dashboard, be certain to select the correct version for installation.
